We bridge the gap between STEM-based education and career development to help students transform their passions into professions and life-long learning – making Kansas City a better place to live.
In partnership with Frontier Charter Schools, the New Frontier Educational Foundation seeks to build relationships with a diverse array of people and resources – we call Friends of Frontier – to help accomplish our mutual goals by providing:
In doing so, we are not only setting up students for a successful career and life, we are providing a highly qualified pool of talent to serve the needs of businesses right here in the Kansas City community. Former Frontier Board President, Rev. Eugene Augustine, was fond of saying, “we need to become ‘friends’ in support of our students, who deserve the very best in life.” Gene wanted Frontier to become not only a great springboard in life for aspiring students, but to form a core of volunteers who would help them along their growth journey.
There are many ways to join us in becoming a Friend of Frontier – which one is right for you?

From academic support and teacher assistance to college scholarships and career development resources, there are several ways to make a financial contribution in support of Frontier students, teachers and counselors in achieving our vision and mission.

It has been said that “it takes a village to raise a child.” In addition to financial resources, we are looking for “friends” who have the gift of volunteerism and mentoring – to directly impact the lives of Frontier students with the benefit of your time, talents, experiences and resources.

The STEM-based education and professional skills our Frontier students receive provides a talent pool to support Kansas City area corporations. Building relationships with these students while in High School via a combination of both financial and vocational resources – can create a reliable “pipeline” of highly qualified candidates to fulfill future employment needs.

While Frontier is affiliated at a high-level with St. Louis University, we are interested in forging strategic alliances with other Kansas City area institutions of higher learning as well as establishing partnerships with non-profit organizations across each phase of the student life-cycle.

Whether you are a subject matter expert in a related field, a Kansas City area connector/influencer, a service provider or a Frontier alumnus, there are myriad ways you can provide advice, counsel, connections and in-kind services to support Frontier students along their educational journey.
